Is Claude Down? Anthropic Fixes Problem After Big AI Assistant Outage

A lot of people who use Anthropics AI assistant Claude had trouble using it on June 23 2026 because of an outage that affected many of the companys platforms. Thousands of people said they had a time getting to Claudes chat services, tools for making things and coding features, which made businesses, developers, researchers and professionals who use the platform every day very worried. The outage became a topic of conversation in the AI community very quickly as people from many different areas reported having trouble logging in getting slow answers and having services interrupted.

A lot of people reported problems during the outage with than 8,000 complaints in the United States alone. Many people talked about the problem on media and shared pictures of what was happening. The sudden problem showed how much businesses and individuals rely on tools that use intelligence to get work done.

Interestingly Claude for Government was still working the time.

Anthropic Says Problem is Fixed-  After finding out what was causing the problem Anthropic said that they had fixed it. The company said that they were still watching the systems closely to make sure everything was stable and to prevent problems. However Anthropic did not say what exactly caused the outage. The company said that they were able to get the services working again and most people could use them again soon after they fixed the problem.
